World Cyanotype Day 2025
Mark your calendars for the last Saturday in September—World Cyanotype Day!
The summer sun may be waning, but cyanotype season isn’t over just yet. In fact, World Cyanotype Day doesn’t even occur until early fall (the last Saturday of September, to be exact).
This year’s World Cyanotype Day (September 27, 2025) marks the 10th anniversary of the global, grassroots celebration honoring cyanotype art and artists. Not only is it a day to indulge in making sun prints in early autumn’s cooler weather, but it’s a fun opportunity to connect with the international cyanotype community.
Many thanks to the folks over at AlternativePhotography.com who graciously organize the annual event! Be sure to head over to their page to discover the origins of World Cyanotype Day and learn how to participate in this year’s theme of “Cultivating Community.”
And if you’re in need of any cyanotype supplies (precoated paper or beginner-friendly kits), please give my Sapphire Snow Art Etsy shop a visit! We’ve been celebrating all month long with mystery sales events!
I’ve narrowed down my entry pieces and will submit this week. Will you be participating in this year’s festivities?
